“Discipline, Dedication, Democracy — The Spirit of Scouts and Guides.” – Shakil Kakvi
The 75th Foundation Day of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Kainat International School, Kainat Nagar, Kako, Jehanabad. The event served as a tribute to the organization’s remarkable contribution to nation-building and its continuous efforts in fostering discipline, civic responsibility, and democratic values among the youth.
The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, conducted by Mr. Hari Shankar Kumar, District Scout Commissioner, Jehanabad. This was followed by the Flag Song and Prayer Song, setting a spirited and respectful tone for the event.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shakil Ahmed Kakvi, District Vice-President, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jehanabad, and Founder of Kainat International School, emphasized the vital role of Scouts and Guides as the torchbearers of discipline, unity, and service. He inspired students to participate actively in the Voter Awareness Campaign under the SVEEP initiative, led by District Election Officer and District Magistrate Mrs. Alankrita Pandey, to ensure 100% voter participation in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Election 2025.
Mr. Kakvi further highlighted the founding principles and objectives of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, established in 1950, aimed at nurturing self-reliant, responsible, and service-oriented citizens. He commended the Scouts and Guides for their ongoing efforts in environmental protection, disaster management, literacy drives, and civic awareness programs.
The Scout and Voter Awareness Pledge was administered by Tayeba Sayeda and Arfeen Abdullah, reaffirming the participants’ commitment to democracy and national service.
The program was anchored by Akhil Kumar and Shaiya Gauher, while Company Commander Khushi Kumari announced that the voter awareness campaign would continue till November 9, 2025, to encourage greater civic engagement and participation.
A large number of Scouts, Guides, students, and teachers took part in the celebration, pledging to contribute toward building a strong, vibrant, and democratic India.
